Developed by Jie Ding, a machine-learning researcher at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, the 'Humanizer' tool is specifically tailored for 'papers and grant proposals.' Spero further noted that his firm is actively developing upgraded versions of Pangram specifically engineered to detect the use of humanizer tools, indicating an escalating technological arms race.
